Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Course Offerings

The East Asian Studies Center compiles lists of East Asian courses offered across the university each semester. The lists below are not comprehensive. In addition to the courses found here, students may be able to register for individual studies or other non-classroom based credits related to East Asia. Moreover, a number of courses each semester may have an "international" or "global" focus that includes the East Asian region. Some of these are listed here, but not all. Students with FLAS Fellowships may be able to count courses with at least 25% East Asian content to fulfill the required area studies course. Please check with EASC Assistant Director Chris White to see if a specific course qualifies. (Instructors who would like their courses to be included in these lists may also contact EASC.) We provide these lists as a service to the campus community; however, students are responsible for determining whether courses meet specific degree requirements.
