With the goal of internationalizing Ohio State’s comprehensive range of activities in research, education, and outreach, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) partners with Ohio State academic units to develop and manage a wide array of international collaborations, from general Memoranda of Understanding to more specific joint efforts, which are formalized as Memoranda of Agreement, Student Exchange Agreements and collaborative degree programs.
Ohio State works to develop strategic partnerships with universities and institutions on every continent, and agreements with institutions in East Asian countries are many and varied. Through faculty research, scholarly initiatives, study abroad and student exchanges, the university is committed to enhancing international initiatives to gain new insight, explore new technologies and achieve new innovations. These ongoing collaborations have resulted in Ohio State having more than 100 active international agreements with universities around the globe.
The International Agreement Database houses all of Ohio State’s international agreements, past and present. The agreements can be searched by Region, Country, International Institution, Ohio State Academic Unit, Type of Agreement and through a key word search. Summary documents and formal agreements will soon be available online, as well as links to the international institutions’ websites.
