The East Asian Studies Center at The Ohio State University, with support from the Korea Foundation, presents the winners of the 2021 Ohio Sijo Student Competition for K-12 students to honor the traditional Korean form of poetry. I was in Paris, walking, breathing in the air. It felt nice.
I saw really nice people, met some friends even. I love it here.
Then the bell rang, I put the book back on the book shelf.

Two sisters taking a walk,
on the beach very drowsy,
late at night talking a lot.
Getting lost in the moment.
Suddenly…The tide is RISING.
They ran and ran, soaking wet.

Infectious evil spreading through the world, making breathing hard.
Abolishing lives, souls, spirits, and yet we all will still fight,

“Fight for what’s right”, “Be strong, be bold” is what we all are told.
But oh, wait, no, not like that, that is not where we want you to go.
