JASCO Japanese Speech Contest 2020 Results
Congratulations to everyone who participated in online Ohio Japanese Speech Contest on Sunday, April 5, 2020. JASCO worked very hard to transition from the planned Speech Contest finals on March 14 to the online format. "We recognize that it’s a trying time right now, and we thank you so much for your continued dedication towards the study of Japanese. We hope that you found today’s experience enjoyable and enlightening," commented Benjamin Pachter, JASCO Executive Director. He added, "On our side of the stream, we greatly enjoyed listening to everyone’s speeches today. The judges commented that the level of the speeches just continues to rise year after year, not just in terms of general language ability but also the sort of topics about which everyone is presenting. We look forward to seeing what the future holds in terms of the continued growth of Japanese language education across the state of Ohio!"
