2018-19 FLAS Fellowship competition opens
EASC is seeking applications for fellowships for summer 2018 and academic year 2018-19 under the U.S. Department of Education's Title VI Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship program. Fellowships are available for Ohio State graduate and professional school students pursuing a course of study requiring advanced foreign language and area studies training, as well as undergraduate students of junior or senior standing in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field who have successfully completed two years of East Asian language study at the college level. Subject to approval, FLAS fellowships may also be used for foreign language and area studies at other U.S. or foreign institutions.
Applications will be submitted online this year and are due by Thursday, February 1, 2018, 4:30 p.m. EST. Detailed application instructions can be found at https://easc.osu.edu/summer-2018-and-academic-year-2018-2019-flas-fellowship-competition.
