With generous support from the Overseas Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation, the Korean Heritage Project celebrates traditional Korean music and instruments from East Asia through a performance, lectures, and workshops. All events are open to the public and free to attend.
Sounds from the Soul: Korean Musical Instruments
This performance will feature traditional Korean music and dance, including performances on the daegeum, gayageum, geomungo, janggu, and samulnori. Artists include:
Lectures on East Asian Traditional Instruments
This project will host three lecture on East Asian traditional musical instruments from November 18-20. Each lecture will be held in Mendenhall Lab 125 from 4:00-5:30 pm.

Workshops on Traditional Korean Dance
In addition to the performance and lectures, this project will also host community workshops on traditional Korean dance. These workshops will be held November 16-21, from 2:00-4:00 pm at Bethel International United Methodist Church (1220 Bethel Road).
