Jeremy Tiang
On Monday, November 14, Jeremy Tiang https://www.jeremytiang.com/ will give a presentation (via ZOOM) for the CLLC 5103 T&I Practicum course on navigating the world of Anglophone literary publishing. Interested parties from the broader OSU T&I community (students, faculty, alumni and others) are welcome to sit in (1 pm to 2pm, 251 Hagerty Hall). Specifically, Tiang will present on how to place literary translations with prospective publishers and answer questions from the audience. Tiang is an acclaimed writer, playwright, and translator of Sinophone literature. Tiang has won the Singapore Literature prize for their novel State of Emergency (2018), was the Princeton University Translator-in-Residence (2022), and served as a judge for the International Booker Prize (2022).
