The East Asian Studies Center at The Ohio State University is excited to present East Asia Day 2025. This free event targets high school students studying East Asian languages or cultures and hopes to introduce them to this at the university level. Language skills are not needed for this program.

East Asia Day will be held on October 17, from 9:30 am-1:30 pm on the main campus of Ohio State (Hagerty Hall, room 180). Activities will include short talks by Ohio State faculty on Pokémon and East Asian religion, the dimensions of culture in East Asia, and tea culture in East Asia. There will also be a tour of campus, an East Asian-inspired game, and lunch.

Teachers are encouraged to register as a class/group of students. Parking for buses and vans will be provided.

To reserve a spot for you and your students, please be sure to register by Sept. 26, subject to availability. Please complete the registration information.
