This year marks the 50^th anniversary of the founding of the Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures. As part of the celebration, a team of DEALL faculty members and students collaborated with Dr. Abhijit Varde of the Center for Languages, Literatures, and Cultures to create an exhibition for Hagerty Hall’s Global Gallery. Due to measures taken to mitigate the pandemic’s spread, this team has created a website to share the exhibition virtually.

This has been an extraordinary spring, with many of the celebrations included in this exhibit and other annual spring observances worldwide being modified or curtailed. The “Spring Celebrations in East Asia” team hopes that viewers can participate in the spirit of these celebrations through this virtual exhibition.
