School of Music hosts lecture on post Fukushima Daiichi reaction in Japan

David Novak, assistant professor of ethnomusicology at the University of California, Santa Barbara will present "Sound Demos and the Politics of Protest in Post 3.11 Japan" on Monday, April 8 at 4:30 p.m. in the Music/Dance Library. Co-sponsored by The Performance/Politics Working Group at the Humanities Institute, the lecture details the summer 2012 public protest aimed at the restart of nuclear reactors following the tsunami and subsequent nuclear disaster at Fukushima Daiichi.
