New course offered in Asian American studies

The Department of Sociology will offer a new course Autumn semester, officially titled "SOCIOL 2382: Sociology of Asian-American Life," taught by professor Neha Gondal, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:35 to 10:55 a.m. Comprising 5% of the US population, this course seeks to explore the diverse cultural experiences of this heterogeneous group of people, discussing how this diaspora experiences success, labels, stratification and discrimination in the American context.
