Francesco DiMarco joins EASC as program coordinator
We are pleased to announce that Francesco DiMarco has joined the East Asian Studies Center as a program coordinator.
Francesco will be responsible for assisting in the development, management and evaluation of academic enrichment programs (such as lecture series, conferences, workshops, etc.) for faculty and students, grant reporting, evaluation and compliance, and serve as a liaison with relevant constituencies at Ohio State and with colleagues and scholars in higher education across the United States. He also will assist with budgeting and monitoring expenses.
For the last two years, Francesco has been a coordinator of international student services and diversity outreach at the State University of New York at Delhi. He was responsible for maintaining student data and records, organized outreach and training for faculty, staff and other stakeholders, ensured compliance with federal immigration regulations and coordinated cultural enrichment activities. Prior to his position with the SUNY system, he served as senior international student advisor at the Massachusetts International Academy.
He holds a master’s in East Asian Studies from Ohio State and a bachelor’s in history from Utica College of Syracuse University. During his time at Ohio State, he was awarded two FLAS Fellowships, which gave him the opportunity to participate in intensive Chinese language study at National Taiwan University and Soochow University.
