Winner of the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, Spirited Away is Studio Ghibli’s best known and most critically acclaimed work.

Wandering through an abandoned carnival site, 10-year-old Chihiro is separated from her parents and stumbles into a dreamlike spirit world. She is put to work in a bathhouse for the gods, a place where all kinds of creatures come to relax, refresh, and recharge. Full of inventive visual wonder and a uniquely philosophical take on coming-of-age stories, Sprited Away was the biggest box office hit of all time in Japan and helped redefine the possibilities of animation for American audiences. (125 mins., 35mm, rated PG for some scary moments, in Japanese with English subtitles)

Studio Ghibli founder Hayao Miyazaki insisted that this North American retrospective be presented on beautiful 35mm film, so don’t miss this rare opportunity to immerse yourself in a modern classic on the big screen and on film.
