2024-09-16 15:30:00 2024-09-16 17:00:00 EASC Co-Sponsored Event: Queer X Contemporary X China: A Reading with Author Jiaming Tang Convened within a framework of global China and from a queer lens, it is the first event under the year-long interdisciplinary program, co-sponsored by the East Asian Studies Center, the Department of East Asian Languages and Literature, the Department of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts, and the Department of Comparative Studies. Born in China and now based in Brooklyn, Jiaming Tang, a 2022-23 Center for Fiction Emerging Writer Fellow and a 2024 Kenyon Review Fellow, will read from his newly published novel, Cinema Love (2024; Penguin Random House). The event will conclude with a Q&A session. An e-book version of Cinema Love is available on the university’s library website.
