Chen-Ti is an applied economist that addresses issues at the intersection of agricultural and environmental economics. His research often leverages administrative surveys and fine-scale spatial data from citizen science projects and remote sensing products to study the production of food and agricultural commodities through sustainable means. Some of his current work includes evaluating the effectiveness of Clean Water Act regulations on livestock production and the Conservation Research Program in supporting ecosystem services. 

Chen-Ti holds a Ph.D. from Iowa State University and was a postdoctoral research associate at Cornell University prior to joining the department.
