Add to Calendar 2015-03-08 11:00:00 2015-03-08 18:00:00 Japan Event: JSO's Japanese Spring Festival Japanese Student Organization (JSO) presents:The Annual Spring Festival is Japanese Student Organization’s (JSO) biggest event of the year, and is a mixture of a traditional Japanese festival and a “school festival”.  The event will take place on Sunday, March 8 from 11am until 6pm in the Ohio Union on The Ohio State University campus. There will be various booths set up around the Ohio Union’s Performance Hall that showcase traditional Japanese culture such as shodo (calligraphy) and tea ceremony, as well as give the attendees a chance to interact with the booth members to experience the culture first hand.   There are also Japanese related performances on stage throughout the event, performed by students as well as community organizations.  Every year we have over 500 students and other community members attend the event, and our 10th Annual Spring Festival will not be an exception! Flea Market:New this year – JSO will be holding a flea market during the Spring Festival on March 8.  They are collecting donations of goods to sell at a flea market booth and will be donating 100% of our sales to Gifts of Kindness Fund through the Columbus Foundation. Items can be donated until March 5.  Please contact JSO and we will be more than happy to go pick the items up. JSO is accepting anything from clothing, toys, books, ceramics, DVD, CD, random knickknacks etc.  Foreign goods such as Japanese items are also greatly appreciated.
