The annual ICS Graduate Forum provides OSU graduate students in China-related fields a venue for presenting their research. It gives students whose abstracts have been accepted for presentation at a regional, national or international conference an opportunity to rehearse their presentation. Topics for presentation may deal with any aspect of China or the Chinese language; and can come from any discipline: humanities, social sciences, STEM, historical or modern, etc., etc. Also welcomed are presentations by graduate students who are completing their dissertation as well as those who wish to practice delivering a conference-style presentation. Program2019 ICS Graduate ForumDate:              Thursday, 7 March 2019Time:              5:30 - 8:30 p.m.Location:       Page Hall, Room 020 (1810 College Road)Schedule 5:30 Welcoming RemarksProfessor Patricia Sieber5:40-6:10 Wei Liu, Department of East Asian Languages and LiteraturesWriting Authority and Writing Justification: Prefaces of Genealogies in Wentang Village, Huizhou Culture, China6:10-6:40 Wenyuan Shao, Department of East Asian Languages and LiteraturesWays of Understanding The Chronicle of Southwest Yi and Its Context (1368-1729): Excerpts from a Dissertation Proposal6:40-7:00 Break for Dinner7:10-7:40 Erxin Wang, Department of East Asian Languages and LiteraturesCross-dressing and Gender in Early Modern and Contemporary Tellings of  “A Male Mencius’s Mother”7:40-8:10 Yifan Li, History of ArtRepresenting Female Sales Associates in Post-Mao Propaganda Posters8:10 Closing RemarksProfessor Patricia Sieber Free and open to the public. This event is sponsored in part by a U.S. Department of Education Title VI grant to The Ohio State University East Asian Studies Center.  Page Hall 020 (1810 College Rd) East Asian Studies Center easc@osu.edu America/New_York public
