IJS receives funding from the Japan Foundation for Global Partnership

The Institute for Japanese Studies (Richard Torrance, Director and Janet Stucky-Smith, Assistant Director) was awarded $118,522 from the Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership to support its outreach goals. The project, titled "Strengthening the Infrastructure to Produce Future Leaders through Educational Outreach, Career Development, and Development in the State of Ohio and the Midwest," will support cooperative activities in Ohio, the Midwest and Japan to enhance outreach to all levels of educational institutions and the community, as well as expand internship programs in the U.S. and Japan.

The Institute for Japanese Studies, working under the umbrella of the East Asian Studies Center, promotes education and research about Japan. For more information about the IJS, contact Janet Stucky-Smith at stucky.7@osu.edu.
