EASC's Janet Stucky honored with 2014 Arts and Humanities Outreach Award

Janet Stucky, assistant director of EASC's Institute for Japanese Studies, has been selected as the recipient of the 2014 Arts and Humanities Outreach Award from The Ohio State University. Since beginning in IJS in 2001, and throughout her career at Ohio State, Janet has been committed to engaging with students, teachers and organizations across the state of Ohio. Her involvement with the Japan-America Society of Central Ohio Japanese Speech Contest and her assistance with the Ohio Association of Teachers of Japan has shown her dedication to outreach in the state of Ohio. Janet is currently working on an Ohio-Japan Alumni Network to promote networking and mentoring between Japanese students and alumni in Ohio. She will be honored for her outstanding contributions at the annual Arts and Humanities Fall Faculty Reception in late October.
