Interdisciplinary Master of Arts in East Asian Studies

The Ohio State University offers an Interdisciplinary Master of Arts in East Asian Studies. Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization in Chinese Cultural Studies

Interested in adding a Chinese studies specialization to your resume/CV? The Ohio State University's Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization in Chinese Cultural Studies (GIS in CCS) allows you to do just that, offering graduate students a basic familiarity with scholarship on a culture that comprises roughly a quarter of the world's population and that promises to play a steadily increasing role in the 21st century.

East Asian Languages and Literatures

The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures (DEALL) in the College of Arts and Sciences is one of the largest programs of its kind in the continental United States. The graduate program offers M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Chinese in the areas of literature, linguistics, and language pedagogy. DEALL also offers an impressive array of specialized courses in the summer, including intensive workshops designed to instruct teachers of Chinese and Japanese in the art of language teaching at both the college and secondary school levels.

Advanced Chinese Language and Culture (Flagship)
The Midwest US-China Flagship at the Ohio State University is a two-year MA program for the advanced study of Chinese that prepares Americans to work in China-related careers.

Undergraduate degree in Chinese Language and Literature

The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures (DEALL) in the College of Arts and Sciences is one of the largest programs of its kind in the continental United States. It offers undergraduate degrees in Chinese language and literature. DEALL's undergraduate language programs offer one of the most extensive and diverse curricula in the country. They include innovative programs such as the Individualized Track and the Intensive Track language programs, which are offered throughout the regular academic year, as well as the Intensive Track Summer Language Immersion Program in Chinese.
